Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a crucial role in preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure accurate and safe procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and verify patient data and physician orders
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established guidelines
  • Position patients for optimal imaging and scanning
  • Operate equipment and maintain a safe working environment
  • Document patient care and exam information in the medical record
Requirements
  • Completion of a JRCNMT-accredited nuclear medicine program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 clearances
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) credentialing in Nuclear Medicine (RTN)
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to radiation. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist must be able to lift and transfer patients, as well as operate equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
