Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using radioactive materials and electronic imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer radioactive agents to patients, adhering to established procedures for preparation and injection.
  • Operate nuclear detection, imaging, and computer processing equipment to provide diagnostic images for physicians.
  • Assess the appropriateness of requested exams and ensure accurate diagnostic testing.
  • Calibrate and check equipment daily, monitoring and recording readings in log books.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to radiation safety standards.
  • Provide excellent patient care, explaining procedures and reducing anxiety.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Nuclear Medicine certification by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine department.
  • Graduated students with certification will be considered.
