Core Responsibilities
- This position requires 100% travel; transportation is provided in company vehicles.
- Uphold Health and Safety as the foremost priority by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
- Operate and maintain all equipment relevant to the assigned service line, with a strong preference for candidates who can operate additional service line equipment.
- Conduct Hazard Recognition Awareness to eliminate potential hazards from the workplace.
- Set up and execute job responsibilities effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and maintain accurate record-keeping as a DOT driver.
- Inspect company vehicles, equipment, and tools before and after use, reporting any deficiencies to management (pre- and post-trip inspection reports).
- Represent the company positively by performing work assignments in a professional and safe manner.
- Assist in job planning, including on-site evaluations, procedure documentation, and specifying necessary equipment and chemicals.
- Communicate the status of assigned jobs to division management and client representatives throughout the job lifecycle.
- Participate in daily field maintenance of company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
- Responsible for the proper hookup and disconnection of equipment using appropriate tools and methods.
- Inspect equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and the general work area prior to job commencement, addressing any deficiencies that could lead to accidents or injuries.
- Operate all company equipment when authorized and qualified, adhering to company and plant regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment post-job completion, contributing to a safe and tidy workplace.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications for W-S Companies
- A minimum of three years' experience as a driver or operator of hydro blast/vacuum truck equipment.
- At least two years of experience in an industrial field.
- Knowledge of Safety Leadership and management practices.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and acceptable identification.
- Possession or ability to obtain a CDL A or B endorsement; hazmat endorsement is recommended but not mandatory.
- Having a TWIC card is advantageous but not required.
- Must successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work any shift, including weekends.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Basic math and safety competencies.
- Capability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- May need to reach above shoulder height and below waist frequently.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending may be required.
- Ability to navigate confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
- Compliance with all safety standards and procedures is essential.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, lifting, handling, carrying, or feeling objects is necessary.
- Must be able to climb and maneuver in confined, cluttered, and uneven areas while maintaining balance.
- Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift performing physically demanding tasks in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
