Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team at ChristianaCare's Medical Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Room patients for virtual and on-site appointments, including taking and recording patient vitals.
- Perform point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs as needed.
- Assist clinicians with examinations and procedures.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Complete patient-specific paperwork as needed.
- Handle prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills as required.
- Ensure the electronic medical record (EMR) is up to date with all pertinent test results.
- Handle patient callbacks and relay information as directed by the provider.
- Perform sterilization of medical equipment as per state guidelines.
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
