Job Title: Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Goshen Health.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse will assist physicians in providing patient care services in a medical office environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical assisting and nursing principles, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians in providing patient care services, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing basic medical procedures.
  • Conduct patient interviews and take medical histories to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Prepare and maintain patient records, including updating medical charts and filing documents.
  • Assist with laboratory tests and procedures, including phlebotomy and ECGs.
  • Provide patient education and support to promote health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or nursing school.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Indiana.
  • One or more years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a physician's office or clinic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Indiana.
  • One or more years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a physician's office or clinic.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
