Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at SpartanNash. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting licensed pharmacists in providing medication and healthcare products to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing prescribed medication for patients, including counting tablets, labeling bottles, and stocking products.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate patient profiles and insurance claims, ensuring timely and efficient processing of prescriptions.
  • Operate cash registers, process transactions, and handle customer payments with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, including medications, supplements, and other healthcare products.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and well-stocked pharmacy environment, adhering to HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents, including prescriptions and patient information.
  • Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail essential for accurate medication preparation and processing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The work environment is typical of a retail store, with varied temperatures and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
