At ABHS, we are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our mental health services.
Job Summary:The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will work closely with our nursing staff and psychiatry team to provide comprehensive care to patients. This includes performing initial psychiatric evaluations, medication management follow-ups, and documenting patient records in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform initial psychiatric evaluations within a 60-minute period
- Conduct medication management follow-ups within 20 minutes
- Complete documentation within 48 hours
- Complete refer-out forms within 24 hours after seeing a patient requiring higher-level care
- Complete all record requests within 30 days of receipt
- Log into initial psychiatric evaluations 10 minutes prior to scheduled appointment time, and notify the front desk in case of emergency
- Log into medication management appointments within 5 minutes of scheduled time, and contact the front desk in case of emergency
- Check the NJ PMP for controlled substances no less than every 90 days
- Attend a weekly Clinical Team Meeting for 1 hour
- Master's in Nursing and Post-Master's Program in Advanced Practice Role
- 1 year of experience as an APN
- Current CPR Certification, Narcan Certification, and active and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Licensure
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area and active DEA
- Ability to lift 20-50 lbs
- Occasional to frequent walking, sitting, standing, and driving
- Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Exposure to communicable diseases, hot/cold temperatures, and varying environmental conditions
