Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status through interviews, health histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic studies.
Write prescriptions for medications, blood products, diagnostic studies, and therapeutic measures in accordance with written practice protocols.
Determine patients' eligibility for clinical trials and interpret study findings.
Collaborate with physicians to ensure patients receive high-quality care.
Administer therapeutic measures, obtain specimens, and dictate follow-up letters to referring physicians.
Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner using appropriate forms and records.
Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a master's degree in nursing or a post-masters nurse practitioner certificate program.
Current license to practice in the state of Florida with prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply.
Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the Oncology Nurses Certification Corporation (ONCC).
BLS certification.

Analysis and critical thinking skills to evaluate patients' status and health care procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
Solid time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to collaborate across various levels of management, departments, and teams.
Comfortable negotiating problems and exploring solutions with the physician population.
