Responsibilities:
  • Fill and dispense medication orders, adhering to proper handling, usage, and storage procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and translate policies into daily operations.
  • Act as an information resource for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug-related information.
  • Participate in the hospital's Antibiotic Stewardship Program, focusing on patient safety and public health.
  • Provide pharmaceutical care to patients of all age groups and demonstrate leadership skills when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Experience with pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation.
  • TPN experience.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor.
  • Automated pharmacy dispensing experience.
  • IV Laminar flow hood experience.
  • Electronic medical records experience.
