Available Departments
- Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD)
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM
- Duration: Academic year
- Work Environment: In-person at designated LAUSD school locations
Compensation Highlights
- Hourly Rate:
- $22 per hour for standard roles
- $23 per hour for bilingual candidates (Spanish or other languages as requested)
- $24 per hour for certified educators or accredited tutors
- Focus Area: Middle School Mathematics
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 60 college credit units and at least one year of tutoring experience in Mathematics
- Strong proficiency in Algebra
- Demonstrated expertise in the subject matter
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Effective communication skills
- Passion for fostering student academic success
- Reliable transportation for in-person sessions; proof of vehicle insurance required if driving
- Successful completion of reference checks and background screening
- Current negative tuberculosis test (valid within the last two years)
- Submission of any relevant certifications, such as a Teaching Credential or Tutor Certification
- National Tutoring Association certification available for StudentNest tutors
