Make a Lasting Impact with Los Angeles Team Mentoring Inc
At Los Angeles Team Mentoring Inc, we are dedicated to empowering middle school students from challenging urban environments to reach their full potential. Our team-based mentoring model offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of 12-15 students, working alongside another adult mentor and our staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate curriculum and lead discussions on valuable life lessons, including career readiness, self-esteem, and conflict resolution.
- Participate in a weekly commitment of 1 hour, Monday through Friday, between 3:00pm and 6:45pm.
- Complete a 90-minute virtual mentor training and adhere to all program policies and procedures.
What You'll Gain:
- Opportunity to build your resume and gain real-world experience in the education, psychology, or social work field.
- Chance to network with other professional mentors and receive a letter of recommendation upon request.
About Our Program:
Our virtual mentoring program has been running for three years, and our mentored youth have shown significant improvements in graduation rates, college attendance, and academic performance compared to non-mentored peers. By joining our team, you'll be part of a historic movement that's making a tangible difference in the lives of our youth.
Requirements:
- Zoom phone screening
- Submit two references
- Fingerprinting background check
- Adolescent development online training
- Mandated reporting training
Residency Requirement: Must reside in the State of California.
