Patient Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Patient Care Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health Michigan. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to patient call lights for assistance or by rounding
• Obtain vital signs from patients
• Provide or assist patients with personal hygiene, including showers, oral hygiene, and dressing/undressing
• Transport patients as needed for procedures, transfers, or discharge
• Maintain a clean and uncluttered environment in patient rooms
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• One of the following: Nurses Aide Certificate (CNA), RN student currently enrolled and has completed two full clinical rotations, and/or six months experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Nurse Technician in an acute care setting
• BCLS certification
• Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral
• Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives
• Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission, and vision of the organization
