Job Summary:
As a Clinical Dietitian - Inpatient at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in assessing, developing, and implementing comprehensive nutrition care services for our patients. Your expertise will help plan, develop, and provide nutrition information through educational programs and handouts. You will also assist in planning, development, and implementation of department programs, policies, and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and coordinate nutritional care plans based on patient assessments, working closely with other healthcare professionals. Provide counseling to individuals and family members on nutritional principles, dietary plans, and food selection. Adapt plans to meet individual needs, lifestyle, and cultural eating habits. Provide follow-up and make referrals as needed.

Plan and evaluate menus to meet patient nutritional needs, considering food preferences. Communicate nutritional care data through record systems, including Medical Records, Dietary Information Record, and Special Consult Referrals. Provide consultation to the medical team on diet prescriptions, nutritional assessments, and enteral and parental feedings.

Participate in discharge planning, recommending home care nutritional needs. Interpret, evaluate, and utilize current research to achieve effective nutritional care. Attend professional workshops, seminars, and lectures to stay informed of current practices and trends in dietetics and maintain professional registration.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in food and nutritional sciences or a related field. Accredited Dietetic Internship (DI) by the American Dietetic Association (ADA). Registered Dietitian from the American Dietetic Association. CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers required at hire. Ability to effectively use resources for research and demonstrated knowledge of and skill in interpersonal relations, customer service, problem solving, adaptability, decision making, oral communication, and written communication.
