Position Overview
The role involves the design, layout, testing, and assessment of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems. Responsibilities include product development tasks such as layout design and the interpretation and execution of customer specifications and documentation requirements. Support for existing product lines in design activities and modifications of hardware in production is also required. The position entails coordinating efforts during equipment downtime, providing countermeasures, improvement strategies, and SQDC containment related to equipment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead projects, including planning, budgeting, preparation, status reporting, and management
• Design and develop equipment countermeasures to address SQD characteristics
• Conduct job process engineering, development, and verification
• Initiate and lead equipment improvement initiatives
• Analyze equipment and develop improvement and countermeasure strategies
• Mentor team members and foster team development
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience:
2-8 years
Other Job-Specific Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, 3D modeling software, project management, effective oral and written communication, CAD software, interpersonal skills, and customer service abilities
Work Environment
70% Office Work
20% Floor and Equipment Evaluation
10% Production Support
Ability to work overtime during weekends, holidays, and off shifts as business needs dictate
