Encorus Group Engineering is seeking a skilled Nondestructive Examination (NDE) professional to join our team in West Seneca, NY, and Rochester, NY offices.

In this role, you will conduct precise testing and inspections of equipment both in the field and in our laboratory.

You will also be responsible for maintaining the equipment and facilities used for testing, as well as providing coaching and training to less experienced technicians to ensure high standards across the team.

Responsibilities:

Conduct structural steel inspections, weld inspections, special inspections, and other related field inspections, and generate detailed inspection reports as required.

Perform various NDE inspections, including Liquid Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Inspections, Ultrasonic Testing, and Visual Inspections.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Interpret customer specifications and read technical construction drawings to ensure that examinations meet established customer and code requirements.

Accurately follow established testing procedures, ensuring all tests are conducted per the procedure, that test equipment operates within specified parameters, and that examination variables and results are thoroughly documented.

Inspect facilities where materials are used and stored to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and ordinances.

Utilize computer software, including tablets, computers, and cell phones, for documentation and communication purposes.

Qualifications:

Level II qualification in at least two Nondestructive Testing methods (e.g., PT, MT, RT, VT, UT, ET).

Ability to obtain and maintain certifications from ACI, NICET, ICC, and AWS as required by the company.

Proficiency in technical methods and procedures for conducting nondestructive testing of equipment or parts in the field or laboratory, as well as related mathematical procedures.

High School Diploma or GED.

Valid driver's license and ability to drive for sample collection, field tests, and inspections.

Ability to comply with company drug screening, including pre-employment tests.

Ability to perform job functions with personal protective equipment, and adverse weather conditions and to climb ladders to access equipment at heights.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional Certifications such as API 510/570/653 or AWS CWI.
