As a team-focused individual, you will work with multiple staff, lead teachers, administrators, and practicum students to implement daily camp activities and ensure a safe and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay committed to your work schedule and attend regular staff meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to communicate and implement daily camp activities for campers with autism spectrum disorders.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of positive behavior supports for the campers.
  • Initiate interactions and engage with campers in all activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe camp environment, following all university protocols to ensure the health and safety of staff and campers.
  • Ensure general safety and adherence to all university and OUCARES policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Positive attitude and respect towards individuals with Autism.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player with direction from supervisor.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional at all times.
  • Enthusiastic willingness to learn and participate fully.
  • Previous experience with individuals with Autism or related experience.
  • Comfortable using computers and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Google Meet platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year experience working with individual(s) with Autism.
  • CPI training preferred.
  • CPR/First aid training preferred.
