This is a key role within our Design & Consulting Team, responsible for serving a diverse set of markets including food and beverage, consumer products, civil infrastructure, and Federal Government projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Management: Lead and manage all aspects of design, ensuring compliance with project criteria and corporate standards.
  • Client Interface: Serve as the primary client interface, managing criteria acquisition and maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Construction Support: Oversee and prioritize responses to RFIs, submittals, and field issues during construction support.
  • Design Scope Changes: Manage design scope changes, schedule impacts, and financial performance, ensuring all changes are documented.
  • Financial Management: Develop design budgets, monitor financials, and ensure invoicing aligns with contract terms.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive design experience, including 5 years as a lead designer and 3 years in design management.
  • Certifications: Professional registration or eligibility preferred; PMP certification desired but not required.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and design document production software. Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and leadership, with experience in managing budgets, schedules, and change management.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
