Job DescriptionThis full-time Respiratory Therapist I position requires a highly motivated individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing situations.
ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this position include:
- Providing therapy as needed in the Special Care Nursery, including oxygen therapy, treatments, or ventilator care.
- Performing invasive mechanical ventilation in compliance with physician order or protocol, including special ventilator techniques, and monitoring the patient's respiratory status and response.
- Serving as a consultant to physicians and department staff on matters of respiratory care.
The successful candidate will also be required to complete additional duties and special projects assigned by management.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- An Associate degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent training.
- At least one year of experience with an emphasis on critical care.
- A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care and a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license through the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
