Position Details
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Weekends and Holidays: Not required

The Patient Services Representative embodies the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, adhering to the organization's ethical standards and compliance protocols while fulfilling all relevant policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients upon arrival, collecting necessary information and completing registration, including insurance verification and payment collection.
  • Update and maintain patient demographic and company information.
  • Handle incoming calls and manage appointment scheduling.
  • Document and direct patient inquiries appropriately.
  • Coordinate external testing appointments for patients.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and the medical practice.
  • Provide support for appointment scheduling as needed.
  • Conduct daily operations in a manner that promotes patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Prepare daily reconciliation reports to ensure accurate charge entry.
  • Organize patient charts for upcoming appointments and file completed records daily.
  • File test and procedure results in patient medical records post-physician approval.
  • Collaborate with company representatives to ensure proper service delivery.
  • Review patient charts prior to appointments to confirm current consents and insurance details.
  • Address all medical record requests from patients, insurance entities, and legal representatives in accordance with established protocols.
Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

  • Experience in medical office coding.
  • Prior experience in a physician's office or customer service role.
