A Room Attendant is primarily tasked with ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public spaces in the hotel are kept clean and appealing. This includes daily servicing of guest rooms in line with hotel protocols, stocking the cart with necessary supplies, changing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities while adhering to company standards and safety/security guidelines.

In certain situations, this role may also involve performing 'deep cleaning' tasks within guest rooms alongside preventative maintenance duties.

Qualifications:
A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in a hotel or a related field.


This position demands a keen attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members, both verbally and in writing.

It is essential to convey information and ideas clearly.

Must be capable of evaluating and selecting among alternative courses of action swiftly and accurately.

Must perform well in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:
Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner.


Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company standards as required by scheduling, which will vary based on the hotel's needs.


Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag while on duty (as per brand standards).

Adhere to company standards and regulations at all times to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.

Thoroughly clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms during each shift.

Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including but not limited to preparing guest supplies, cleaning materials, and linens for the housekeeping cart setup.

Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest rooms.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

May be required to disassemble furniture or items in the guest room to conduct deep cleaning.


Deep cleaning tasks may include, but are not limited to, changing the air conditioning filter, cleaning the AC coils, touching up paint on walls/molding, addressing scratched furniture, or rehanging closed sliding doors.
