A Room Attendant is primarily tasked with ensuring that guest accommodations, corridors, and communal areas in the hotel are kept clean and appealing. This includes daily servicing of guest rooms in line with hotel protocols, restocking the housekeeping cart with necessary supplies, changing bed linens, and replenishing guest amenities while adhering to company standards and safety regulations. In certain cases, this role may also involve performing deep cleaning tasks within guest rooms alongside preventative maintenance duties.

Key Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in hospitality or a related field.
  • This position demands a keen attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be capable of conveying information and ideas clearly.
  • Must quickly and accurately assess and choose among various courses of action.
  • Must perform well in high-pressure situations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain consistent attendance in accordance with company standards, as required by scheduling which may vary based on hotel needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag while on duty.
  • Adhere to company standards and regulations at all times to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Thoroughly clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms during each shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including but not limited to preparing guest supplies, cleaning materials, and linens for the housekeeping cart.
  • Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest rooms.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • May need to disassemble furniture or items in guest rooms to facilitate deep cleaning.
  • Deep cleaning tasks may include, but are not limited to, changing air conditioning filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, and repairing scratched furniture.
