Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pack and Unpack Inventory: Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Store Inventory: Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Inspect and Count Inventory: Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Receive and Count Stock: Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
  • Mark and Label Inventory: Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Verify Inventory Computations: Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Issue and Distribute Materials: Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
  • Provide Assistance and Direction: Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
  • Dispose of Damaged or Defective Items: Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors.
  • Clean and Maintain Supplies and Equipment: Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Recommend Disposal of Excess or Obsolete Stock: Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.

Required Education and Experience
  • At Least One Year of Experience in a Warehouse Environment: At least one (1) year of experience in a warehouse environment, with knowledge of inventory management and shipping practices.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High School Diploma or equivalent, with ability to read and write English.
  • Pass a Drug Screen and Background Check: All candidates will be required to pass a drug screen and background check to be considered for employment.
  • Understanding of OSHA Safety Rules: An understanding of OSHA safety rules for warehouse work, with ability to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
