Healthcare Facilities Management Director

As a Healthcare Facilities Management Director, you will lead the overall management of the Plant Operations & Maintenance Departments within our hospital campus environment. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, prioritize, and control functions and activities under the scope of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:- Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Meets with hospital clients and staff as needed to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and/or communicate programs and policies to ensure seamless execution.
- Supervises the flow and quality of work to assure completion of workload and consistency to facility's standards, ensuring high-quality services are delivered to clients.
- Prepares and leads departmental budgets, including utilities energy savings programs, to optimize resource allocation and minimize costs.
- Handles and ensures compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and other relevant authorities.
- Supervises work performance and prepares and/or reviews performance evaluations for assigned personnel to ensure they meet company expectations.
- Guides employees on salient features of facility's personnel and employee relations programs and answers any questions to ensure a positive work environment.
- Plans, coordinates, and supervises construction and development of physical facilities to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Serves as liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and material and equipment suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Reviews, evaluates, and recommends approval of plans for construction to ensure they align with company goals and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with a focus on a relevant field such as engineering, maintenance, or construction.
- 5 years of responsibility at a director level in areas of engineering, maintenance, and construction in a healthcare institution.
- Previous Facilities Management experience in an acute care hospital is required.
- Proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.
- Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) is preferred.
- Ability to meet established goals and objectives, with a strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare building mechanical, structural, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge and expertise in NFPA, TJC, CMS, DNV, EPA, and OSHA codes and regulations, with the ability to interpret and implement them.
