The Surgical Services Quality and Safety Specialist plays a pivotal role in collaborating with diverse departments and healthcare professionals to uphold quality and safety benchmarks within surgical services.
This role encompasses the management of quality assurance and safety initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and supervising data oversight for various program registries.
Key registries and initiatives include the Orthopedic Center of Excellence (OCE) certification, Optimized Surgical Recovery (OSR), OASCAHPS (Surgical Patient Experience), and The Joint Commission (TJC) Accreditation, along with safety programs that comply with AORN, ANSI/AAMI, and ASPAN guidelines.
This position provides a unique opportunity to make significant contributions to surgical operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Requirements:
- RN - An Associate's degree is required; a BSN or higher is preferred.
- Arizona Registered Nurse License is required upon hiring.
- A minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including data analysis and extraction, is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in clinical quality or safety is advantageous.
- Certification as a Laser/Safety Officer is preferred.
Schedule:
Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm
Education:
- Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
Experience:
Nursing: 2 years (Required)
Clinical Quality or Safety: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Registered Nurse License (Required)
