Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist with extensive expertise in Cisco security products. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity and be proficient in managing and securing networks using Cisco technologies. This role requires the specialist to be onsite for at least 2 days each week, providing direct support and oversight to ensure the security infrastructure is robust and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain security protocols across Cisco-based systems and networks.
• Manage Cisco security appliances (such as Cisco ASA, Firepower) and ensure their optimal performance.
• Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests.
• Develop and enforce security policies to protect client data and infrastructure.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices with ongoing IT initiatives.
• Stay current on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and Cisco security solutions.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, specializing in Cisco products.
• Deep understanding of Cisco security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
• Experience with Cisco ASA, Firepower, and other Cisco security tools.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite for at least 2 days each week.

Preferred Certifications:

• Cisco Certified CyberOps Professional or Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent
