About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Architect to join our team at Mastercard. As a key member of our Architecture team, you will be responsible for devising architectures and providing technical leadership for initiatives targeting fraud, customer risk, and authentication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technical strategies and architectures for new initiatives
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise for creating new platform capabilities
  • Partner with other architects, developers, analysts, and business partners to drive exceptional business outcomes
  • Deliver innovative, robust, and cost-effective technology solutions that align with enterprise strategies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • Experience architecting large and complex systems from conceptual architecture to application architecture
  • Experience providing technical thought leadership across an organization
  • Strong technical skills in Java, Linux, Oracle, and virtualization technologies
  • Experience with agile software development processes and architecture governance
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with web architecture and application development, including APIs
  • Experience with high-performance data storage such as GemFire in-memory Data Grid
  • Database experience (e.g., Oracle)
  • Experience integrating vendor and open-source products into an overall system
