Job Summary

The Physician Extender II (PE II) is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing medical services and support to patients in our community. This role requires a strong foundation in medical diagnosis and treatment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

Provide health care services, including medical diagnosis and treatment, under the supervision of a physician.
Act as a consultant to nursing, lab, social work, and administration staff.
Serve as a preceptor to other employees and provide in-service training to staff.
Participate in disease outbreak investigations and emergency shelter staffing.

Requirements

Graduation from a Masters Level Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program approved by the NC Joint Subcommittee.
Licensed in the state of North Carolina as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant.
Valid NC Driver's license.
Certified in basic CPR life support.
