Facility Maintenance Attendant

Position Title: Facility Maintenance Attendant

$15.00/hr

Working Hours: Saturday and Sunday 6PM - 10PM

Overview: This role involves performing custodial tasks. The Facility Maintenance Attendant will ensure cleanliness across all areas of the establishment by executing the following responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute all assigned duties with professionalism to uphold the integrity of the Custodial Department.

• Conduct routine cleaning of administrative offices, lobbies, cafeterias, lounges, corridors, elevators, and stairways, ensuring a clean, neat, and sanitary environment.
• Dust and clean furniture, display cases, fixtures, windows, doors, trim, and related furnishings; relocate furniture, supplies, and miscellaneous items as instructed.

• Collect both recyclable and non-recyclable waste and replace trash can liners.

• Regularly clean telephones using germicidal and disinfectant cleaners.

• Perform thorough vacuuming in high-traffic areas and remove any visible debris from carpets.

• Sanitize light switches, doors, walls, tops of modular furniture, and blinds.

• Clean and/or polish tables, benches, and chairs.

• Remove cobwebs as necessary.

• Transport trash to designated areas.

• Secure work areas with appropriate safety signage.

• Lock and unlock doors and windows to offices and other rooms as required. Ensure lights are turned off in unoccupied rooms.

• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with company policy.

• Report safety hazards to the supervisor as needed.

• Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety requirements related to the role.

• Follow all infection control practices, including proper handwashing techniques.

• Change light bulbs and assist with event setups and breakdowns.
• Ensure cleaning carts are not left unattended.

• Keep custodial closets locked at all times.

• Maintain clear hallways and pathways, free of carts, cleaning equipment, and tools.

• At the end of the shift, ensure all equipment is cleaned and ready for future use, including cleaning materials. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED. One to three months of related experience and training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.

• Apply common sense to follow provided instructions.

• Must be able to communicate and understand English.

CHEMICAL USAGE:
Generally, we utilize environmentally friendly products. In this role, you will be using floor strippers, floor finish, grout cleaners, tile cleaners, spot removers, germicidal agents, deodorizers, and glass cleaners.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bend 15 to 30 times during a 6.5-hour shift.

• Carry items 5 to 10 times while lifting 5-10 pounds.

• Kneel 15 to 30 times.

• Lift from floor to waist 3 to 4 times.

• Push and pull 3 to 5 times while carrying 15 to 20 pounds.

• Reach overhead 3 to 5 times while carrying 0-1 pounds.

• Sit 2-3 times during the 6.5-hour shift.

• Stand 80% of the time while carrying 1-5 pounds.

• Twist 10% of the time while carrying 1-5 pounds.

• Walk approximately 50% of the time while carrying 15-10 pounds.

• Grasp 75% of the time.
