Job Summary

GW Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) is seeking a skilled Paramedic to provide operational and emergency medical services within Washington DC. As a member of our team, you will function independently or as part of a larger medical team, responding to emergency situations and providing medical evaluation, treatment, and stabilization to the sick and injured.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Advanced Life Support within the scope of practice and standing orders
  • Respond to emergency medical situations involving potential loss of life or bodily injury
  • Maintain control, manage, and direct patient care at the scene of a pre-hospital emergency
  • Provide training and instruction to lesser-trained personnel
  • Perform required documentation and other duties as needed
Requirements
  • Active DC RN license or Nationally Registered Paramedics
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • DC DOH approved CPR for Healthcare Providers
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support - preferred
  • Pass an FBI fingerprint background check
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to sit, walk, and reach for long periods of time in a clinical setting. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 20 lbs. may be required. Regular exposure to healthcare settings that may require personal protective equipment is also necessary.
