About this role:

As an Early Childhood Education Aide, you will provide essential support in the instruction, care, and management of pre-kindergarten students aged three to five years. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the classroom teacher to foster a nurturing and engaging learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and organizing educational resources and maintaining a tidy classroom environment.
  • Deliver subject matter to students under the supervision of teachers through various instructional methods.
  • Support individual and small groups of students in developing foundational skills such as recognition of shapes, letters, and numbers, while reinforcing concepts introduced by teachers.
  • Participate in field trips, parent meetings, and other classroom activities, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience.
  • Communicate effectively with educational staff, students, and parents regarding student performance and classroom management.
  • Supervise students, promoting positive behavior and adherence to school policies.
  • Collaborate with teachers to discuss instructional strategies and address specific student needs.
  • Assist students with their basic needs, including personal hygiene and dressing.
  • Evaluate and plan for student needs in conjunction with the teacher on a daily basis.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
  • Adhere to all program regulations and licensing requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Commitment to promoting racial and educational equity and supporting all students in achieving their full potential.
  • Must reside in the area while working in this role.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without accommodations.
