About the Role:

KBR is a leading technology-driven company providing high-end, innovative software and engineering solutions to critical national security missions across space, cyber, ISR, missile defense, and intelligence domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess user and system requirements and recommend the best overall system architecture.
  • Design and develop software systems, ensuring that user requirements and specifications are met.
  • Establish test requirements, plans, and execute testing to verify system design and performance.
  • Prepare software system architectures and models to specify operations to be performed by computer software.
  • Continually assess the performance of software engineer teams, using an agile approach.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline relevant to Software Engineering/Development.
  • Minimum of 15 years of Software Engineering/Development experience, including software engineering/development experience in areas such as:
    • Leading and developing software using current programming languages (e.g. Java, C++, JavaScript, PHP or other languages and web frameworks).
    • Excellent knowledge of database technology (e.g. SQL, No SQL, etc.).
    • Experience with test-driven development; proficiency in software engineering tools.
    • Experience in DevOps or DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines; experience in cloud native applications and microservices.
  • Other required experience:
    • Proficiency with current programming languages (e.g. Java, C++, JavaScript, PHP or other languages).
    • Excellent knowledge of database technology (e.g. SQL, No SQL, etc.).
    • Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework.
    • Experience with test-driven development.
    • Proficiency in software engineering tools.
    • Experience in/familiarity with DevOps or DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines.
    • Experience in/familiarity with cloud native applications and microservices.
  • TS/SCI security clearance Required.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
