Software Engineer - Infrastructure Automation

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer - Infrastructure Automation to join our team in San Diego, California. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for automating the deployment of software infrastructure, integrating and automating systems to facilitate continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, and continuous deployment pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Automate the deployment of infrastructure software, including VMWare, Kubernetes, and other tools.
  • Integrate and automate systems to facilitate continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, and continuous deployment pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and flow up status/blockers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related experience, or 0 years of experience with a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience with YAML and/or Python.
  • 2+ years of experience with Ansible.
  • 1+ years of experience with Virtualization technology.
  • 1+ years of experience with a continuous integration environment (i.e., GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo).
  • 1+ years of experience using the Agile methodology and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Active Top Secret clearance and must be able to obtain and maintain program access.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current SAP access.
  • 2+ years of experience with any of these VMware products: Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, NSX.
  • 1+ years of experience with VMware Aria.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Linux and/or Windows System Administrator.
  • 1+ years of experience with NetApp Storage Solution.
  • Experience automating software builds and releases via Nexus.
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
