Job Title: Assistant General ManagerJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Goldfish Swim School - Spring. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our swim school, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction, and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and control the daily operations to ensure the swim school is running according to GSS standard operating procedures.
  • Assist the General Manager and department managers with fulfilling daily tasks.
  • Manage the staff of GSS to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Train and oversee the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to students.
  • Provide sales and marketing training to qualified sales staff.
  • Direct and oversee the retail and vending departments to ensure a proper mix of products and pricing.
  • Train and oversee private party staff to ensure GSS standard operating procedures are maintained.
  • Gain knowledge and experience in the Links software to achieve a high level of competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions.
  • Gain a high level of knowledge and experience in GSS pool operations necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.
  • Initiate and oversee workplace employee activities (Fun Department) to achieve improved employee satisfaction.
  • Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures that pertain to the GSS facility and train all current staff on the GSS EAP.
  • Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider required.
  • Two or more years of management experience preferred; two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred.
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and first aid certification required; shallow water attendant highly recommended.
Work Environment:

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
