Job Opportunity for a Skilled Estimator

A leading structural steel fabricator is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a critical role in the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and review project plans, requirements, and specifications to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Lead a team to develop estimates, leveraging your expertise in construction costs and engineering principles.
  • Determine labor and equipment costs, as well as materials pricing, to ensure comprehensive estimates.
  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and assess project risks to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the project team to review quotes and estimates, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Develop estimates for various levels of completion, from conceptual to detailed design.
  • Orchestrate pre-construction duties, including meetings with owners, clients, and engineers.
  • Serve as the company's interface between owners and architects, ensuring effective communication.
  • Develop leadership, motivation, and communication skills to drive project success.

Requirements:

  • Experience working on projects ranging from $100,000 to $5 million.
  • Advanced computer skills with estimating software and MS Office.
  • Effective presentation skills to communicate estimates and project plans.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction costs, engineering principles, and structural steel concepts.
