Quest Diagnostics is a leading provider of worksite wellness screenings and health improvement programs. During a biometric wellness screening, a Quest Diagnostics provider will collect a number of measurements, including height, weight, blood pressure, waist and/or hip circumference, as well as complete a finger stick for glucose and cholesterol levels, typically in a corporate office setting.

Your Role as a Wellness Screenings Provider

  • Deliver Biometric Screenings: Perform biometric screenings at client sites, including finger stick blood collection, BMI measurements, blood pressure checks, height/weight assessments, and other health screening services based on the service package.
  • Provide Health Coaching: Offer basic health coaching to individuals based on their screening results, guiding them towards healthier choices.
  • Perform Lab Procedures: Conduct basic waived testing technical procedures on blood samples using CardioChek Plus and ensure all required quality control measures are met.
  • Ensure Exceptional Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service throughout each health screening event, ensuring a positive experience for participants.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Keep accurate, complete, and legible records of all screenings and results.
  • Adhere to Safety Standards: Comply with all designated safety policies and procedures in the work area, including the use of appropriate protective equipment when necessary to prevent exposure to potentially infectious agents.
  • Uphold Regulatory Compliance: Understand and adhere to applicable federal, state, and local laws. Adhere to quality assurance procedures and good manufacturing practices.
  • Protect Patient Information: Maintain all HIPAA and OSHA standards while on events.

Qualifications

  • Formal medical education with current appropriate medical certification.
  • Additional medical certification/licensure as required by state or regulatory requirements.
  • High School diploma/GED and/or medical license (Nurse, Phlebotomy Certificate, Medical Assistant License, C.N.A., etc.).

Experience Requirements

  • At least 1 year of healthcare experience in a professional health care setting.
  • Completion of a fingerstick within the last 1-2 years.
  • Proficiency with finger stick blood collection methods and manual blood pressure measurement.
  • CardioChek Plus experience is preferred.
  • Skills required for proper specimen and reagent handling, labeling, processing, preparation, transportation, and storage are necessary.

Work Environment

  • Wellness screenings typically take place in corporate/conference room settings.
  • Travel is required to screening event locations.
  • Lifting light to moderately heavy objects. The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects up to 40 pounds.
  • Fine dexterity with hands/steadiness.
  • Examining/observing details.
