Role Overview
As an Identity Access Management (IAM) Specialist at OpenAI, you will be instrumental in managing user access to our systems and data, primarily utilizing Azure Active Directory within our enterprise IT framework.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:
- Overseeing identity access and configurations through AzureAD, ensuring effective access control across all user accounts, including the implementation of automated provisioning based on roles or departments.
- Formulating and executing access management policies and procedures, with a focus on automation to enhance user access to resources and ensure timely access rights for new hires.
- Customizing and refining provisioning and de-provisioning processes to cater to varied user needs, balancing accessibility with security, and adjusting access rights as roles evolve.
- Collaborating with the enterprise security team to align access controls with current security standards and company policies, incorporating principles of automated provisioning to bolster compliance.
- Leading initiatives to enhance IAM practices through the integration of advanced technologies and methodologies, including automated workflows for role-based access control.
- Implementing automated user lifecycle management processes to streamline onboarding and offboarding, ensuring that access rights are accurately granted and revoked in line with organizational changes.
Qualifications
You may be a suitable candidate if you possess:
- In-depth technical knowledge of Azure Active Directory and identity management systems, with significant experience in automated provisioning and de-provisioning.
- Advanced scripting and automation skills, particularly in Python and PowerShell, with a proven track record of developing solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Extensive experience with identity governance and administration platforms, particularly AzureAD, ensuring robust management of user identities and access privileges.
- Expertise in deploying and managing access control mechanisms, with a solid understanding of compliance frameworks and security protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to adopt best practices in identity and access management, contributing to a secure and efficient IT infrastructure.
- Experience in implementing streamlined access solutions for diverse workforces, enhancing user experience while maintaining security.
- Proficiency in designing and enforcing access policies that meet the stringent requirements of a fast-paced, security-focused organization.
This position operates in a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence three days a week.
