Role Summary: The Automation Process Improvement Engineer is a specialist with in-depth technical knowledge who actively participates in project planning and implementation. Responsibilities include the installation of new systems and modifications to existing systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

• Develop and modify programmable logic controller (PLC) programs for production processes.

• Create and adjust Human Machine Interface (HMI) programs utilizing various software tools.


• Design engineering systems for the automation of industrial tasks.


• Research and select appropriate sensors, vision systems, and control devices.


• Identify suitable materials for mechatronic system designs.


• Upgrade existing device designs by integrating mechatronic components.


• Analyze current development or manufacturing processes and propose enhancements.


• Maintain accurate data records and mapping for equipment communications.


• Produce schematic diagrams and layout drawings using design software.


• Create and modify programs for PLCs, HMIs, and motor control devices.


• Inspect industrial equipment components for proper assembly and installation.


• Manage project schedules, budgets, and customer interactions.


• Supervise contractor work to ensure compliance with project specifications.


• Provide clear instructions and training to promote sustainable improvements.


• Maintain comprehensive technical project documentation.


• Collaborate effectively with manufacturing personnel to communicate design information.


• Conduct testing of design solutions and document results.


• Respond to equipment issues as needed.


• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate tools and knowledge.


• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.


• Participate in ongoing industry training and development.
