**Responsibilities**

The Operating Room Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering perioperative nursing care to various patient demographics undergoing surgical interventions.

This position entails taking responsibility for both the direct and indirect execution of the patient's care plan within the Operating Room (OR).

Additional duties may be assigned by the department director, which could include participation in committees, involvement in quality improvement initiatives, and other related projects.

The OR nurse is expected to embody and promote the core values and mission of CHI St's Health organization.

**Qualifications**

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing is required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience in acute care is required
  • Scrub experience is necessary
  • Previous experience in an Operating Room setting is preferred
  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas (RN:TX)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required
