Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Surgical Services is responsible for the effective operation of Surgical Services at Northwest Texas Healthcare System. This role involves the ongoing assessment and improvement of Surgical Services activities, ensuring the internal functioning of Surgical Services facilitates the overall organization's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the provision of departmental services through a collaborative process, integrating services/functions throughout the healthcare system.
- Participate in and support a process to measure, assess, and improve performance of management, clinical, and/or support services in conjunction with Surgical Services and regulatory agencies.
- Assist in developing a department-specific fiscal plan, including budgeting, compliance monitoring, and resource allocation.
- Exhibit effective leadership skills in planning, organizing, and coordinating departmental functions, aligning with the healthcare system's mission, vision, strategic goals, and values.
- Operate shifts of responsibility to meet fiscal goals, implement value-added programs, and manage customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- Bachelor's degree required, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master Degree in Nursing preferred.
- 5 years of experience as a RN in Surgical Services, with 3 years of leadership experience.
