Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Northwest Texas Healthcare System. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, including the setup and breakdown of equipment and supplies.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning, draping, and ensuring proper anesthesia administration.
  • Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and adhering to aseptic technique.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient information, including vital signs, medications, and surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a surgical technologist program with certification exam eligibility - certification preferred.
  • Two years surgical technology experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment.
