Job Title: Anesthesia Technician III

NYU Langone Health is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist our anesthesia clinicians with patient care, equipment maintenance, and supply management. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist anesthesia clinicians with patient care, including medication administration, equipment setup, and patient positioning.
  • Maintain anesthesia equipment, including calibration, quality control, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage anesthesia supplies, including ordering, stocking, and disposing of equipment and materials.
  • Communicate effectively with anesthesia clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in training and education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a one-year Anesthesia Technician program or certification from an accredited anesthesia technology program.
  • 5 years of experience in anesthesia technology or a related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in staff development and training.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
