About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Equipment Sales Representative to join our team at Coastline Equipment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling new and used construction equipment to new and existing customers in the northwest LA and South Bay area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Account Management: Represent the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area, maintaining current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive activity/products and timely communicate to management, accordingly.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain all customer information in assigned territory for sales management in company CRM.
  • Sales Process: Know and follow a defined sales process.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment.
  • Customer Events: Assist with the preparation and execution of customer events.
  • Demonstrations: Conduct new equipment field demonstrations.
  • Trend Analysis: Monitor trends in customer's business activities and timely communicate to management.
  • Financing Options: Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
  • Training and Development: Attend applicable sales training events/seminars.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years construction industry sales experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of construction equipment and operational practices preferred, ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions, ability to work flexible hours, excellent customer relationship skills, ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports, bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Authorization: Authorized to work in the US.

Compensation

$38,400 + Commission (Approximately $85,000-140,000, depending on target sales).
