About the Role

We're seeking a talented Associate Underwriter to join our team at The Hartford. As an underwriter, you'll play a critical role in helping our customers achieve their goals by providing them with the right amount of coverage they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our sales teams, experienced underwriters, and other leaders to hone your underwriting skills and advance your career.
  • Analyze data and employ critical thinking skills to make informed decisions that meet our customers' needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with diverse groups, including customers, colleagues, and partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure our customers receive the best possible service.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to identify and implement process improvements that drive business results.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think analytically about business problems, make recommendations, and propose solutions.
  • Possession of resilience and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Demonstration of solid time, organizational, and desk management skills.
  • Goal orientation and ability to deliver outcomes in a timely manner.
What We Offer

The Hartford offers a competitive annualized base pay range of $58,960 - $88,440, as well as a comprehensive total compensation package that includes short-term and annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
