Cascades at Jacinto is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our nursing team as Weekend Supervisor. As a skilled nursing facility, our goal is to provide top-quality care to each patient. We strive to maximize each patient's functional independence to safely discharge them to the next level of care.

**Job Summary:**
As a Weekend Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the nursing staff on weekends, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care. You will also be responsible for documentation review, supervision over dining services, addressing patient grievances, and ordering medications and equipment as prescribed.

**Responsibilities:**

* Supervise and coordinate the activities of the nursing staff on weekends
* Review and document patient charts to ensure accurate and timely care
* Supervise dining services to ensure that patients receive nutritious meals
* Address patient grievances and concerns in a timely and professional manner
* Order medications and equipment as prescribed by physicians
* Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by physicians
* Notify residents' physicians and family members of changes in patients' conditions
* Administer professional nursing practice services such as tube feedings, suction, catheterization, changing of dressings, packs, and irrigations as necessary
* Monitor patients' conditions and provide continuous observation and monitoring
* Ensure that other healthcare team members provide care according to patients' care plans and personal wishes
* Accurately complete necessary charting in a timely manner

**Requirements:**

* Possess a current Texas RN license in good standing
* Effectively communicate with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors
* Able to make decisions independently when warranted
* Knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures
* Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care
