Job Overview

Position Summary:

The role involves the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of low voltage cabling systems for clients in the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct service enhancements, refurbishments, and upgrades for low-voltage cabling systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance on surveillance cameras, displays, and other related equipment.
  • Diagnose issues with low voltage cabling utilized in video, voice, audio, and data networks.
  • Document and maintain records pertaining to testing and inspection activities.
  • Install, terminate, and organize low-voltage cabling at various job sites.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of infrastructure rack equipment rooms.
  • Resolve miscellaneous cabling and connectivity challenges.
  • Receive on-the-job training to enhance skills.

Job Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel to client locations across the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin areas.
  • Commitment to work the necessary hours to complete essential tasks.
  • Availability for full-time work, including overtime and flexible hours.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to fully squat, stoop, or kneel as needed.
  • Capacity to maintain a standing position for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks such as handling wires.
  • Experience working from ladders and/or scissor/boom lifts.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including cold, rain, and heat.
  • Tolerance for high noise levels typically found on construction sites.
