Low Voltage Cable Technician

Job Purpose:
This position will provide low voltage cabling installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for clients in the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin area.
Technical Duties:
- Performs service upgrades, reconditioning, retrofits, for its low-voltage cabling products and systems.
- Performs preventative maintenance on Cameras, Monitors or other hardware.
- Troubleshoot low voltage cabling used in video, voice, audio, and data systems.
- Maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities.
- Installing, terminating, dressing low-voltage cabling at client jobsites.
- Assist in build out and configuration of Infrastructure Rack Equipment rooms.
- Troubleshoot miscellaneous cabling and connectivity.
- On the Job training provided.

- Strong communication skills, ability to build rapport, and deliver excellent customer service at all levels.
- Must be efficient, good at problem-solving, creative, and enjoy helping people.
- Highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills to be effective in diverse work environments.
- Ability to complete tasks to standards, individually/without supervision
Job Requirements:
- Willingness to travel to customers across the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin areas.
- Willing to support and work the necessary hours to finish critical work.
- Ability to work full-time, including overtime, flexible hours.
- A high school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Fully squat, stoop, or kneel.
- Maintain standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.
- Work off ladders and/or Scissor/boom lifts.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including cold, rain, heat, etc.
- Ability to tolerate high noise levels subject to a construction site
