Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Purpose:

This position will provide low voltage cabling installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for clients in the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin area. 

Technical Duties:

  • Performs service upgrades, reconditioning, retrofits, for its low-voltage cabling products and systems.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on Cameras, Monitors or other hardware.
  • Troubleshoot low voltage cabling used in video, voice, audio, and data systems.
  • Maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities.
  • Installing, terminating, dressing low-voltage cabling at client jobsites.
  • Assist in build out and configuration of Infrastructure Rack Equipment rooms.
  • Troubleshoot miscellaneous cabling and connectivity.
  • On the Job training provided.

  • Strong communication skills, ability to build rapport, and deliver excellent customer service at all levels.
  • Must be efficient, good at problem-solving, creative, and enjoy helping people.
  • Highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills to be effective in diverse work environments.
  • Ability to complete tasks to standards, individually/without supervision

Job Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to customers across the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin areas.
  • Willing to support and work the necessary hours to finish critical work.
  • Ability to work full-time, including overtime, flexible hours.
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Fully squat, stoop, or kneel.
  • Maintain standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.
  • Work off ladders and/or Scissor/boom lifts.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including cold, rain, heat, etc.
  • Ability to tolerate high noise levels subject to a construction site
