Host Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and welcoming Host to join our team at Keke's Breakfast Cafe in Wellington. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for ensuring their experience is exceptional from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, making them feel welcome and valued.
  • Manage the efficient and timely seating of guests, taking into account their preferences and the flow of the restaurant.
  • Provide guests with estimated waiting times and keep them informed of any delays.
  • Page guests when their table is ready and thank them for waiting.
  • Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible and ensure that guests are seated in a way that balances customer flow.
  • Inform guests of their server's name and thank them as they leave.
  • Keep the host area, floors, and door glass clean and tidy at all times.

Requirements:

  • No previous restaurant experience is required, but a positive and friendly attitude is essential.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests.
  • Must have exceptional grooming habits and be able to maintain a high level of personal presentation.
  • Must be available to work 6:00 am to 4:00 pm every day, including holidays.
  • Full-time applicants must consider Keke's as their primary place of employment.
  • Must wear dark blue jeans with a black belt and black non-slip shoes on the first day of work.
  • No visible tattoos when wearing a short sleeve polo shirt.

Each location of Keke's Breakfast Cafe is independently owned and operated by a franchisee.
