Role Overview

You will be partnering with a Territory Business Leader to launch new insulin pumps and products. Your main responsibility is delivering top-notch clinical education and product training to drive adoption and persistence. In partnership, you will formulate territory strategies to meet or exceed goals.

This role comes with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior staff, assisting with field sales training, and participating in internal advisory boards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop effective territory plans with the TBL to meet or exceed goals.
  • Execute clinical selling strategies within assigned accounts.
  • Assess referrals for product use in people with diabetes to confirm criteria are met.
  • Provide product education and training for users of Sequel products.
  • Promote clinical benefits of automated insulin delivery with Sequel products and conduct impactful demonstrations.
  • Certify healthcare providers to conduct product training.
  • Facilitate virtual product training and educational webinars.
  • Communicate user feedback to solve problems and improve product development.
  • Collaborate with customer care and sales support to optimize the user experience.
  • Maintain expertise in discussing and demonstrating Sequel products, as well as expertise in diabetes and therapeutic options for diabetes care.
  • Participate in conventions, educational forums, and meetings to increase product awareness.
  • Manage leads and opportunities in the customer relations database daily.
Senior Clinical Diabetes Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Assist with field sales and clinical training.
  • Participate in advisory boards with cross-functional departments.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Lead weekly team calls, regional and/or area calls, and meetings, as needed.
Requirements:
  • A valid professional license in one or more fields: RN, RD, PA, NP, Pharmacist.
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience coordinating and conducting diabetes education, with strong experience in technical use of diabetes technology preferred.
Senior CDS Requirements:
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification required.
  • 4+ years of clinical diabetes education experience.
  • Experience coordinating and conducting diabetes device education in the medical device industry preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated history of high performance in previous roles.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from patients and healthcare providers in real time.
  • Strong data analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of diabetes products and therapies.
  • Candidate must live within the assigned geography.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to carry and transport professional samples and literature.
  • Ability to commute and spend extended periods driving each day, which may include overnight travel.
Additional Requirements for Senior CDS:
  • Demonstrated history of top-tier success and meeting clinical metrics in the medical device industry.
  • Served in developmental and leadership roles, such as field sales trainer, mentor, or field advisory board/marketing committee member.
  • Experience representing the organization at industry conferences and conventions.
  • Demonstrated career progression/promotions into roles with increased responsibility.
  • Strategic problem solver.
  • Demonstrated success in sales or partnership with sales.

Salary and Benefits:
The total base salary and target incentive compensation for this position is $141,000-161,000 annually. Base pay varies based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
