Role Responsibilities and QualificationsWe are looking for a hospital-based Clinical Laboratory Technologist to provide expert analysis and drive positive outcomes. Our team is committed to supporting one another, and we seek an exceptional candidate who shares our dedication to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise and timely laboratory tests, ensuring compliance with proficiency testing protocols and deadlines.
- Take charge of departmental responsibilities in the absence of supervisory staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient test results.
- Execute urgent procedures within established turnaround times.
- Exhibit sound judgment and independent thinking in interpreting patient results, including performing necessary checks.
- Monitor pending logs and address any outstanding tasks or communicate needs to staff.
- Implement quality control measures as per established protocols and manage critical laboratory specimens and test results.
Required Qualifications:
- An Associate Degree in a relevant field is mandatory.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist is advantageous.
- A valid State of Florida Technologist License is required or the ability to obtain one during the interview process.
- Licensure in one or more clinical specialty areas is preferred, with a generalist background being highly desirable.
