Residential Services Supervisor

As a key member of the WellLife Network team, the Residential Services Supervisor will play a vital role in supporting the daily functions of our residential facilities. This position is essential in ensuring that all client documentation is meticulously maintained and that effective communication is upheld with various service providers. The Supervisor will also provide direct support to clients and serve as a role model for staff, while overseeing the performance of direct care staff under the guidance of the Residence Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate activities that promote each client's social responsibility, independence, dignity, and personal development.
- Implement individualized goals aimed at enhancing client independence, including but not limited to:
- financial management
- personal grooming
- nutritional planning
- public transportation usage
- community resource engagement
- shopping skills
- housekeeping tasks
- Assist the Residence Manager in coordinating daily operations of the facility.
- Supervise direct care staff in their daily responsibilities, providing training and mentorship to new employees.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with regulatory standards.
- Support the Residence Manager in maintaining accurate staff records, including performance evaluations and supervision notes.
- Update and manage client records in the designated systems, particularly during the absence of the Residence Manager.
- Maintain comprehensive client files, tracking progress and documenting necessary information.
- Participate actively in the interdisciplinary team, contributing to meetings and case discussions.
- Assist with payroll and petty cash management on a bi-weekly basis.
- Review incidents and support the Residence Manager in conducting thorough investigations.
- Be available for on-call emergencies, sharing responsibilities with the Residence Manager.
- Coordinate recreational activities for clients.
- Be physically capable of navigating stairs and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients and families regarding progress and incidents, acting as a liaison with community contacts.
- Engage in ongoing training and meetings at various locations as required.
- Complete all necessary training in emergency response and first aid.
- Uphold confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
- Be adaptable to changes in work schedules and locations based on client needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
A valid NYS driver's license is required. A Bachelor's degree in Social Services or a related field is preferred, with a minimum of an Associate Degree required. Experience in a supervisory capacity and/or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is essential.
